This is a normal message to see when the instrumetn is first starting up, but should clear after a few seconds. If it occurs at other times, e.g., when activating the motor or intensifier, then it indicates an underlying issue with the PLC connection. Diagnosing this issue requires testing of the electrical components - this is generally outside the scope of what we would expect customers to do themselves.

Diagnosis:

Requires site visit. Electronic connections to HMI-PLC to be checked - normal voltage should be 24v across all connections. Check PSU in electrical cabinet - should be delivering 24v power supply and status lights should indicate normal condition. Check high voltage power supply - normal voltage should be 240-245v on all high voltage connections to PSU.

Likely requires assistance from IDEX MPT technical to fully diagnose.

If overload alert is lit on PSU

  • If voltage exceeds 24v but less than 28v the overlload trip threshold can be increased using a smnall screwdriver.
  • If voltage is less than 24v PSU requires replacement.
  • If voltage exceeds 28v consult Idex MPT technical.
