Fixable remotely - YES

Sometimes when samples or PS100 beads are in the system, the particles can look very blurred or out of focus. This is usually easy to fix and almost always fixable either by the customer themselves with remote guidance, or by an engineer logging in remotely via TeamViewer or AnyDesk.

SOLUTION 1 - if the particles are only slightly out of focus, use the "Optimize Focus" button in the "Cell Check" menu of the ZetaView software.

SOLUTION 2 - if the above fails, use the "Auto-Alignment" button in the "Cell Check" menu of the ZetaView software. This performs larger step changes of the optics to search for particles.

SOLUTION 3 - if the Auto-Alignment fails too, the optics need to be focussed manually:

    * Log into Administrator Mode (password is 06charly13)

    * Go to the "Alignment" tab

    * Uncheck the "Synchronously" box

    * Move either the laser or the microscope stage (does not matter which) around until particles start to appear more focussed. Use the green box buttons to make large step changes, then the blue arrows to make smaller step changes.

    * If the particles cannot be focussed by moving the laser one way, reset the coordinates back to where they were by changing the camera position, then try again in the other direction.

    * Once the particles are back in focus, press the "Focussed Position Save Calibration" button.

    * Log out of admin mode.

    * The "Optimise Focus" feature can now be used to fine-tune the focus.
